Mirage Marauder MM-6
Personal project created to practice vehicle design within a well-known universe.
(Inspired by the Star Wars franchise.)
With the exception of the basic workflow, my goal was to create a small concept art project in a more cinematic manner. Of course, everything is inspired by the Star Wars franchise, of which I'm a huge fan.
These concepts represent an aircraft vehicle, a modified vehicle used for racing in the desert. The entire hull is an engine system composed of three main engines, with an additional two engines attached to small wings.
The MM-6 code originates from the original version of the aircraft, once used for towing massive mine cargos, and indicates the mixture of two different fuels, Monium 3 and Myzarite 3. The combination of these two liquid fuels is crucial, occurring inside the main hull, where it generates an extremely volatile and explosive gas that provides high power to these particular engines.
Initially, I roughly sketched some variations in search of inspiration for the main shape. Afterward, I transitioned to Zbrush, adding functionality and narrative through details.
Big Thanks to Pablo Dominguez for sharing his precious workflow in the vehicle design lesson on LearnSquared.
I hope you enjoy this exercise.
